NURTURE by Nekhbet is a labor of love...a life's purpose fully manifested. Nekhbet was known to be a Goddess, the protector of mother and child, a distinct warrior in Egypt. Her main charge was to protect the Pharoah.

Goddess Nekhbet, owner of NURTURE by Nekhbet, is a lifetime Birth Keeper and decorated Navy veteran. She was stationed at WRNMMC Bethesda, MD in 2011, and ran the Women's Health Clinic from 2011 to 2013. She also spent extensive time training under experienced Midwives, Nurse Practitioners and Obstetricians from all walks of life. Being a birth keeper is her calling, and she takes it seriously!

The initial days of baby’s life set the tone for the rest. The bond to mother is vital to baby’s survival. Oxytocin doesn’t flow as well if Mom is stressed over taking care of home, as well as recovering from birth. Doulas do the heavy lifting while she recovers, allowing for optimal bonding between Mom and baby. As we all know, this makes for a happy, healthy family. The military instilled in me that teamwork makes the dream work, and this is very key in the birthing world as well.
